The answer is, well, no.
There is one sure truth, and it is way simpler. As long as you are on this earth and you are human, you will meet people whose smiles will touch you, whose voices will stay etched in your memories forever. You will discover places, and fall in love with the way water catches the sun at dawn. You will laugh and you will cry and all these things will leave imprints on your soul, despite how you feel about them. Okay?
Perhaps there is some comfort to be found in the fact that if it not were meant to happen this way, life would be engineered differently. We would not have the ability to fall in love for the risk of getting hurt or to walk for risk of falling down. But here we all are, alive in this world that begs for nothing but honesty and vulnerability, where there is not enough time to live let alone worry about your souls’ natural reaction to the things that happen around you.
The affairs of this life will get overwhelming. Denying yourself the care and attention that you need during this time does nothing good for your aura. The cosmic energy that surrounds you affects more people than you know. Some even believe it affects the universe as well. So think of it this way, cleansing your soul would be doing the world a favor!
The First Step in Solving a Problem is to Acknowledge That There is A Problem
You have been on this earth for quite some time now, and thus it is only natural that your soul establishes routines when it comes to certain things. These things may not necessarily seem useful or beneficial, and they can make living with enthusiasm quite daunting, but you have to trust that there is a process. You have to understand that the only thing that truly transcends space and time is your soul. You have to accept the things that have come to pass and understand that tomorrow will come with or without your peace of mind.
There is no point in holding on to things which do not better your existence. Staying tethered to the past does a magnificent job making sure you do not appreciate all there is in front of you. And not only is that detrimental to your body, soul and aura, it distracts you from your mysticism.
Letting Go Does Not Mean Forgetting
Something happens when we do not let go. These things that we so dearly hold on to, they work together to make sure that you forget your divine nature. They distract you. They come apart into different emotions; fear, sadness, anger… pain. They force your attention towards them and soon enough, you find yourself fighting battles against your own self.
When we hold on to things long, we lose ourselves in them. And it becomes rather difficult to tell where a certain problem ends and we begin. It becomes our identity, the problem, without which we are incomplete. Until you put your problems into perspective and define clearly for yourself who you are, you will always identify with a lesser version of you.
Your soul exists on many levels, with some being more present than others. At its core, your soul remains forever aligned with universal love and wisdom. However, with living comes learning, and that is something you will find yourself doing no matter how many lifetimes you span. Learn from the situations you are letting go of, but please, let go.
Is it Fair That You Continue to Learn in All Your Lifetimes?
Short answer, no. But life was not made to be fair!
When you were created from all of that universal goodness and love, there was assigned to you an identity. One completely unique to your being. And you were given the gift/curse of Free Will.
Understanding this, along with the concept of change should make it clear to you that without learning, you would not be able to grow into whatever it is you need to be in your next lifetime. As a child learns best not to touch the fire by being burned by it, we learn by passing through. Experiences ultimately make us who we are.
You are made of bits and pieces of the universe, yes, but your being still needs to be taught for itself how to wade through this world. Free-will means that you are learning to make choices in each moment. If everything was made clear and simple, and instructions were written down, you would neither learn, nor explore the boundaries of your soul. You would not have the opportunity to understand who it is that you really are because learning opens your eyes, not only the world but to yourself as well.
One of the most important steps to cleansing your soul is to learn to look at situations through fresh pairs of eyes. Remove yourself from the picture and study your experiences on a non-existential level. This way, you allow yourself the space to heal while also decluttering your mind.
Meditate: Change Your Point of View
- Reflect on things that affected you in childhood.
- Put yourself in a completely different body while you look back on your life.
- Focus on your breathing! Notice how it changes as you change your point of view.
- Put in whatever soundtrack you like; your favorite song, a voice, a doorbell ringing endlessly; lower and raise the volume. Watch as the scene shifts as the sound progresses.
- Notice how your breathing changes with the change in sound. How does your body react? Does it tense up? Do your shoulders slump?
- Next, change your size in whatever scene. Change it so that you tower above all that is around you. See the people in the scenes as though they were tiny dolls.
- Breathe, and notice what it feels like to be giant looking down at these memories that have for long, had power over you.
- If it has not been clear enough, breathe. Breathe gently, slowly. Tell yourself that you are safe in this space, that you are not stuck in a carousel. You can feel the situation in a new way and you will continue to explore these shifts in your body and mind!
What effects does this meditation have on you? Has it made it a bit easier to breathe? Does it make reflecting on your past a little lighter? Maybe a little but not entirely? That’s okay! Play with this activity again and again and it will get better.
This meditation should liberate you, encourage you to shift the patterns you believed you were stuck in. It is captivating, with a process that is most time, enjoyable. It urges you to connect with yourself on a deeper level and discover just how much more powerful you really are.
On this journey of cleansing your energy, you will experience shifts between your soul and your body. And you will understand well that your soul is always available to you. You will realize that you are the only person that holds your wisdom and love. Your soul has its unique cosmic perspective; a perspective that is available to you whenever and if ever you choose to seek it.
It is always good practice to look after your soul and your energy no matter how well and fine things seem. It is not at all arguable that this will involve a lot of work and dedication, but know that it is mostly because your soul is many-layered and multidimensional.
Allow yourself the chance to learn from yourself, a chance to impact the lives of the people around you positively. Change the world by changing the way that you look at it. Some mystics believe that nothing is real, including all of this world but all of that is quite relative. Things are as real as the imprints they leave. And it does not make you any lesser to seek asylum for and within yourself.
