Why Does Keto Work?
With the Keto diet, there is a significant reduction of carbohydrates in your diet. By the reduction of carbohydrates such as sugar and starches your body will go into a metabolic state, referred to as ketosis.
During ketosis the body burns fat rather than carbohydrates for energy. Your body will breakdown the fat into molecules known as Ketones. This essentially burns/removes/oxidising unwanted fat.
Endogenous ketones are produced by our bodies naturally by maintaining a low carb diet or an empty stomach. This process is called ketogenesis.
